The culmination of my early work with play structures, the Playgoda is group of “fully truncated rhombic dodecahedrons“ which include 12 “silver rhombic” faces (diamond faces shaped in a ratio on 1 to the square root of two) and has dihedral angles of 120 degrees all around allowing it to be space filling. The panels are truncated faces of the RD and the connectors cross the RD edges at 90 degrees.
For the physical structure, the assembly is a bit demanding and there is a wood tool necessary for the last few pod pieces. Ground surface should be relatively level. A prime concern for playground safety is to have a soft fall surface and clearance 6′ all around,
